Classic Game Room HD reviews the original DUALSHOCK Controller for Sony Playstation 1. The Dualshock 1 controller is grey and classy, like a sea lion with analog controls. This welcome addition to the PS1 family in 1998 brought dual analog sticks and an awesome rumble feature to video games like Gran Turismo 1! Far superior to the original PS1 controller (which was a good controller in its own way), the PSone Dualshock controller was hefty and featured larger L2 and R2 buttons as well as the analog sticks. Further refined with the PS2 Dualshock 2 controller, the Dualshock line now continues with the PS3 Dualshock 3. So check it out, are you looking for a budget controller for PS2 games? Is the PS1 Dualshock 1 controller all that you can find? It works with Playstation 2 except it does not have analog button buttons, just analog sticks. Classic Game Room HD – FRONT MISSION 5 for Playstation 2 review

Part 1. Classic Game Room HD reviews FRONT MISSION 5 for the Japanese Playstation 2 PS2 video game console. CGR gives an in depth, multi-part review of Front Mission 5 showing gameplay and footage from the game. This turn based strategy game involving giant robot mecha is only available as a Japanese game with Japan only language and region encoding. CGR has a Japanese PS2 to play Thunder Force 6, well, heres another winner on the PS2 from our friends overseas (who screwed us over again!). FM5 seems to play like Front Mission 4 except with higher quality animations, graphics, fluidity and directing of the motion video anime sequeneces. If you enjoyed FM3 and FM4 and can score a Japan region PS2 this game should feel very familiar to you even if you cant read any of it. The menu structure is similar, the combat is turn based and awesome and the giant robots kick so much butt it isnt funny. Watch as huge mechs stomp cities and other robots into oblivion and cause billions of dollars in property damage. The gameplay is similar to Final Fantasy Tactics and other turn based games from Squaresoft and Square Enix, however CGR thinks the style of the game is 2nd to none. Classic Game Room HD reviews DEFENDER (again!), this time for the Playstation 1 video game console, or PSX, PSone, PS1, etc…. This is from the Williams Greatest Arcade Hits collection which also includes arcade emulated copies of Robotron 2084, Joust, Sinistar, Bubbles and Defender 1 and 2!! Digital Eclipse was involved with this version (you should know them from the Xbox Live Arcade games on XBLA). Defender was released in 1980 in the arcades and is regarded as one of the best horizontal scrolling space ship shooters ever created. Designed by Eugene Jarvis, Defender pits you and your spaceship against countless enemy foes, landers, swarmers and pods who are kidnapping humans and turning them into mutants. If you want to play Defender but dont have an arcade stand up machine this may be the best and most affordable way to do so, as soon in this CGRHD review! Vandal Hearts is a turn based tactical strategy game that takes place in a fantasy world of good vs. evil. Old school 3D style battlefields make be a bit blocky by todays standards, but the creativity and detail programmed into Vandal Hearts makes it a true classic worthy of a fan following today. Numerous characters are played throughout a dramatic plot spanning several acts of action packed tactical gameplay. Defeat enemies with a variety of weapons and awesome magic spells, Vandal Hearts is a must-play for fans of Final Fantasy Tactics and the awesome Front Mission games. Playstation 3 (PS3) Wireless Keypad Review

In this video, I review the wireless keypad for the Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) console. This wireless keypad attaches to the PS3 Six Axis controller and is available for sale today for $49.99 USD. The device has a USB connector at the top which is used to charge it. It has its own battery which isnt replaceable much like the Six Axis controller. Thankfully, it has its own power switch to turn the keypad on and off manually. It has buttons for the Select, Start, and Playstations buttons which work with your existing controller. Along the top of the device are two meta buttons, one blue, and one orange. To type the orange and blue keys on the keypad, one would have to use the each respective meta key. Shift is not used for these characters and is only used for capitalization. As for comfort, I couldnt type very well until I figured out that I needed to slide my thumbs up from the normal position. Once I did that, I was able to type fairly easily. A great feature of the wireless pad which I have not seen before, is that the entire keypad acts as a trackpad! To turn this on, theres a toggle button along the bottom which looks like a finger. The sensitivity of the trackpad is not great (given its design, its understandable), but it is usable for couch surfing and basic tasks. Also along the bottom are two more keys: A message box button and a friends list shortcut. If you have a PS3, and send messages to your friends, this is a good investment. Its also good for …
